Terms of Service
Last updated: June 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PerfLint for Unity (the "Service"), a Unity Editor plugin and related website operated by PerfLint for Unity ("we", "us"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
PerfLint for Unity is a developer tool that scans a Unity project locally to detect performance, asset, and migration issues and suggests fixes. All project analysis runs on your own machine. The scan never uploads your source code or art assets. Optional AI features ("Explain" / "AI Fix") send only the specific finding metadata or single code snippet you explicitly choose to process.
2. Licenses & accounts
A free tier is available with no account required to scan. Paid ("Pro") features are unlocked with a license key issued after purchase. You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential. A license is for your own use; you may not resell, sublicense, or share it.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Pro is a recurring subscription billed through our payment processor (Creem) at $9.99/month, or $95.88/year ($7.99/month billed annually). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Prices are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.
4. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the licensing system, circumvent usage limits, use the Service to violate any law, or attempt to disrupt the AI proxy or backend. We may suspend access for violations.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its code, branding, and documentation, is owned by PerfLint for Unity. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service. You retain all rights to your own Unity projects and any output produced from them.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Automated and AI-assisted fixes may be imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing changes and keeping backups (e.g. version control) before applying them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
